Le 5ème larron qu'on apercoit sur la cover étant très certainement Darryl Kennedy qui est le maitre d'oeuvre musical: il produit la majorité des titres, assure enregistrement, mix, mastering dans ses propres studios.
Comme si cela ne suffisait pas, il réalise aussi toute la partie artistisque et graphique du projet. (photos, art covers)
Il est cependant aidé à la production par Robert "Rock" Lee Price.

Le travail proposé est soigné, mélodique et riche niveau musicalité : une vaste palette d'instruments est utilisée conférant un caractère accoustique très appréciable.(Bass, electric & accoustic guitars, piano, saxo...)

Autant le dire tout de suite c'est principalement chanté,même si le rap est assez présent... Dans un registre aux inspirations musicales diverses, principalement Soul/Funk, en découlent des morceaux tantot RNB (slow jams),tantot New Jack/rap lorgnant vers le G-Funk...

Ainsi l'album comporte des hommages à la fratrie Isley ou Teddy Pendergrass.
Mais il n'est pas sans proposer son lot de balouzes inédites dans la première moitié du cd:
"Cutiez", "Anything", "Phunk Phluid Anthem" devraient convaincre sans problème les amateurs de The D.E.E.P. ou I.F.A.
La deuxième moitié de l'album se veut plus down-tempo...

Un bien bon (rare)album dans le genre au final, op pour la ride, op pour la slide (c.a.d. disque pour la caisse, disque de chevet "d'ambiance"..ah ah)

Milwaukee's R&B and hip-hop kitchen is cooking up something tasty these days.

"Our music is like a big gumbo pot," says Darnell "Bugzy" Walker-Cruse, 22, one-quarter of the Brewtown-based group First Class. "We go from R&B to hip hop, back and forth. There are a lot of spices in our flavor."

Dancing, rapping, crooning First Class serves up a buffet of musical pleasures, earning them a league of devoted fans. Especially the ladies. "Our audience is full of women. Men like us too, but on the lowdown," explains Dimetrus "Mr. Grissom" Grissom, 24. He laughs, recalling some of the group's more ardent followers. "Some of the things the women say, well, they get a little freaky with it. We've had women virtually licking our chests." The quartet, which also includes Daimon "Drian" Smith, 24, and Sean "Sean B." Boswell, 26, has been together since 1993. They've done shows throughout the Midwest and the South, and were recently tapped by MTV to perform in Burbank for "The Cut," a showcase for up-and-comers. They're already at work on a second album. Their first, "Player Mentality," has been available locally and via their Web site for several months. The album ranges from slow, sinuous love songs to the kind of grooves that will get even the most reluctant wallflower out on the dance floor. "Versatility is our thing," Grissom says. With so many cooks in their musical kitchen, each member of First Class takes on a different role. "I'm the balladeer, but I get gritty with it, like Teddy Pendergrass," says Smith, who prefers the group's slower numbers. Fellow smooth groover Boswell nods, but the other three interrupt him before he can explain his own place in the band. "Sean's the one with the honeys, the seducer," Walker-Cruse chuckles. "And I'm the MC. My whole thing is moving the crowd." Grissom, who shares the rapping duties with Walker-Cruse, agrees. "I like to see everyone in the club shaking their rumps." Talk of rump-shaking aside, First Class tries to live up to its name. The group avoids the misogynistic attitudes that crop up in some corners of hip hop, and cleans up their saucier material if they feel it's not appropriate for an audience on a given night. Giving the crowd what they want, in fact, is the guiding principle of First Class. Citing groups like the Jackson 5 as influences, the four members pride themselves on delivering more than just a bunch of songs. "When a crowd goes to a show, they don't want to just hear, they want to see, too. And they like surprises," says Smith, adding that the group will break into spontaneous a cappella singing or throw in some fancy footwork to keep up the show's energy. Even mistakes are opportunities to entertain: when Smith's mike cord pulled out during a recent show, he says he did a quick drop-and-spin to retrieve it before anyone noticed. "We don't just sing," Grissom says.
