Just the mere mention of Gospel Rap will cause some folks to cringe and/or "run for the hills". With very good reason though. This genre for the most part has been stuff with many, many lukewarm releases. This is where GRITS enter the scene. This duo from Nashville TN, brings across a non-preachy, down-to-earth, catchy and very entertaining releases, which music just happens to have a non-secular overtone. Often refered to as the Outkast of Gosepl Rap, GRITS have had many of their songs featured in various media outlets such as; MTV Cribs, Somethings Gotta' Give, Pimp My Ride, My Super Sweet 16, etc......

I find their videos to be bland & weired; however, I am a big fan of their ingenious rhyme scheme, subject & flow. They are truly ahead of their time. Straight feel good music.

Yeah, they are probably some other decent Christian Rap artist out there. I've heard of The Commision; however, for some reason I can only relate to southern Christian Rappers.

I remember years ago, there was this guy from Texas I can't think of his name but it was like Youngster or something similar. But I remember he had a lot of buzz and even Scarface vouched for him. Who is this guy? I was never album to find his music.

Yeah, it's a great book. It's been a decade since I read it, but I remember his angst, and obstacles resonating with me.

And I don't mind the French, I mean this is a French site. I don't want to be cliche'-ish arrogant American tourist looking down on anyone not speaking English. :) The language barrier is almost negligible. I use the Google translator if need be.
