As most of you know ,Rapper Stanley "Flesh-N-Bone" Howse was sentenced to twelve years in prison , following his conviction on charges of assault with a rifle. The conviction stems from an incident in which Howse pulled an AK-47 assault rifle and threatened a friend.Howse's attorney argued that his client was the victim of "horrendous childhood trauma" in an effort to earn a lighter sentence for Howse. Van Nuys, Calif. Superior Court Judge Darlene Schempp could have handed the rapper a sentence of nineteen years in prison, but chose twelve because of documents confirming Howse's abusive childhood.
Schempp handed down a ten-year-sentence for the assault charge and an additional two years because the weapons charge violated his probation from a 1998 incident
Flesh has maintained his connection with his fans throughout his sentence by way of writing letters to those who took the time to write to him and communicate with him. He has stayed close and in touch with his Bone brothers and continued to sharpen and widen his talents while incarcerated. Sources closest to flesh say his release date will occur on July 12, 2008. Most if not all Bone fans have been waiting for this day for a very long time and will continue to pray and hope that flesh is released on this date, or very soon in the near future.
