damn, après l'avoir bien dosé là, ma foi il est opé cet album !
ça fait plaiz' de les voir plutôt en forme comme ça les 2 lascars d'Orange Mound. comme l'a souligné Untouch', les 2 mi-temps du skeud sont effectivement dans des tempos différents, mais j'apporterais toutefois un petit bémol car la répartition n'est pas aussi tranchée que ça : on a donc d'abord du gros Get Buck Memphis Crunk, pas follement fou mais bien efficace (préférence perso pour "It's Goin Down", "Ten Toes Down" et "We Come From")... arrive alors "She's So Fine", plutôt sympa dans le genre freaky/lover anthem, et on se dit que ça va partir en slow jams, mais les 2 tracks suivantes ("Grinding" et "Spotlight") font remonter le rythme, dans un registre crossover/club un poil cheveu sur la soupe par rapport au reste, mais finalement assez catchy, donc ça se valide après tout... La 2e période peut alors commencer avec un enchaînement juste impeccable 10-13, du Southern Country Mellow Gangsta Funk (!) comme on l'aime. Pour un peu, on regretterait presque qu'ils aient pas casé un feat. posthume de Pimp C. L'album se conclut toutefois sur un ultime coup de pression avec le très costaud "Still We Remain". bref, suffirait d'intervertir "She's So Fine" et "Still We Remain" pour avoir là, clairement, 2 moitiés bien distinctes avec 2 tracks club pour faire la transition. mais bon, en vrai on s'en fout, le "Still Will Remain" comme final anthem, moi ça me va tout à fait !
à voir si l'enthousiasme des premières écoutes va s'estomper ou pas, mais là comme ça, j'ai envie de dire qu'il faudra pas oublier ce
