two new releases that i recommend. i uploaded some samples for you too.

the first one by Bloody Blade from Trigga Music is definitely as westcoast as it gets in germany. beatwise i think they are on top of the game with a couple other producers (mind you, i'm talking about the underground, not mainstream rap)

then there's a new album by MC Bogy and Pablo SOK a.k.a. Doktor Sok. Bogy just got released from prison a couple of months ago and he has a new album out (i posted it a while back). but this release here is definitely some underground shit that was recorded almost two years ago. i wish y'all could understand the lyrics. it's pretty raw!!
i mixed the snippet for them that's why i have this album already. it's not coming out until next month

some more "sales boches" shit for your ears hahaha

Playa Smoove - Das Spiel In Meinem Blut

Image

this one might interest y'all because it's one of the few examples of laid-back westcoast style rap from germany. as you know by now, we haave a lot of dark and violent rap, kinda like the "caillera" rap scene in france. that's sort of the mainstream in germany right now together with rappers who just copy dipset 1-to-1 LOL
the "g-funk" scene is very very small but this album is an excellent example of it..... the guy's from osnabrück, a mid-sized city in the north of germany not too far from the dutch border. so obviously he talks a lot about smokin weed haha the rest of his content is mostly about fuckin' hoes and chillin' with the homies...

Playa Smoove - Kein Vertrauen feat. Lady Cabrioh

Playa Smoove - Weine Nicht

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Isar - Berliner Bär

Image

this album is more mainstream sounding but i really like it cause isar, a turkish rapper from the infamous berlin district 36 "kreuzberg", is a greeat storytelling MC. plus his raps are very authentic and straight to the point.

Isar - Meine Strassen

Isar - Paff Paff Pazz feat. B-Lash & Vero

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vork & Derbe - Nord Nord Drama

Image

and finally some "typical" german underground shit from berlin 65. it's heavily infleuenced by memphis rap like a lot of german underground rap actually. i guess we like that dark tongue twistin' kill-em-up type shit.....

Vork & Derbe - Echter Gossenrap

Vork & Dent - Mach Einen Raub

all right, check out this video:

B-Lash feat. Deso Dogg & VeroOne - 36-44

finally i can hook you up with some westcoast shit from germany!!! i've been telling you about the involved artists (deso dogg, b-lash) for a while now....
i really feel the track. the video is all right and i don't like the hook all that much. but overall it seems like the westcoast scene is finally going to bubble in germany.

i will be posting more g-funk/westcoast influenced shit in the future...

it's actually two ZIP codes extension from before reunification. the ZIP code for berlin was 1000 plus an extension for the district.
so 1000 Berlin 36 was Kreuzberg district and 1000 Berlin 44 was Neukölln. both of them notorious for gang activity during the 80s (i wrote something about this before in this thread i believe...)

today, the official ZIP codes are different, but a lot of people still use the old ZIP code extension to represent for their "bezirk" (district)...

the handsign that people throw up in the video stands for "36" and is the sign for a gang called "36 boys". i don't know very much about them but i don't think they are as active as they used to be. their name is one of the most notorious from the old berlin gang times though...

4 4 da mess - Mein Leben

it's from 1997 i think. this boy charnell from 44 da mess was really one of the first ones in germany to come with some serious rap shit from a street perspective.

don't know if he has more features with french rappers but he got a couple more videos:

Asek - Hass

asek - im schatten des lichts

Asek feat. Godsilla - Kinder der Straße

Kaosloge - Keine Menschen

(Kaosloge is the crew he used to be in...)

yeah, 41beatfanatika are from steglitz (that's what the "41" stands for). but lichtenberg?? :D that's in east berlin

sorrry, i think i wanted to say lichterfeld, or this place under steglitz (zellendorf?)
This is some cool videos. I have some kumpels who know asek but who didn't have news from him for 5-6 years and where surprised he make some stuff with french people.
Do you have some adress for good hiphop concert? Actually i have more tricks for punk or so concert but wenn i can find some good (and cheap) berlin hiphop it would be interassant.
