I totally agree with that, I read and heard on a couple of places about the new west, especially the new southern cali sounds and damn it that sucks... fortunately there are still a few artists who keep doing that old westcoast shit... i didn't hear anything from you except I feel so westcoast and to me that's the kind of beats that makes me think(and wonder) dat the west has not definitely fell off... i hope that your other stuffs sounds like that if not i don't think i would love it.

bref, pour les anglophobes, je développe un chouïa : j'apprécie qu'un XL et d'autres futurs artistes US (espérons le) viennent sur le forum pour poster et nous tenir au courant de leur actu... même si c'est à une humble échelle, si à terme tout ça peut permettre de créer des passerelles entre ici et là-bas, des passerelles fonctionnant dans les 2 sens, bah ça serait génial !! c'est le but en tout cas, reste à voir jusqu'où ça pourra porter ses fruits...

oh yes most definitely...to be honest I like interacting with foreign fans more than people out here in the USA, cuz people overseas aren't so quick to just jump on the newest trend...I see people in France, Japan, Germany, and all over Europe who are real genuine and stay loyal as fans, that's the kinda shit that I appreciate...out here its way more people who act like "OK im not fuckin with your music because you aint rappin with 50 Cent or Snoop Dogg"...

And about the whole "new west" thing, i think its cool that the young artists out here are trying to forge a new sound, it's just that this "new sound" sounds like sounds that other coasts have already touched, namely the East Coast mainly. And we're trying to call it a movement when it's not...we're trying to force it to be a movement and it ain't that unified yet. it could be that way eventually, but we just gotta get off this cliche subject matter (guns, ice, dissin other rappers for attention) and get off these fluffy ass beats and then maybe we'll have something real.
